About the event

The Association of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga of Greece proudly welcomes Sathu Jois, Manju Jois’s daughter, in Athens for a Teacher Training Course on Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

The Primary Series is known as “Yoga Chikitsa”, which means “yoga therapy,” as it is designed to detoxify and strengthen the body and mind, while the Intermediate Series is known as “Nadi Shodana” and is the nervous system purification practice, working on the energy channels of the body allowing the Prana to flow smoothly and uninhibited.

This Teacher Training Course requires an established practice in Ashtanga Yoga and will include:

✓ The traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice, a series of asanas (postures).

✓ Traditional breathing exercises taught using original Sanskrit so that students will benefit from the traditional form.

✓ Vedic peace chants (Shanti Mantras).
